Summary:

At ThermoKing I was tasked with creating a report on the fundamentals of EM clutches utilizing both given text and sources from the internet. The goal of the project was to create learnings and understandings about the requirements to best select an EM clutch for a particular application. To accomplish this one needs to consider torque capacity, engagement quality, durability, safety factor, and price. Once we have the different requirements for a particular application we can engage suppliers more successfully in the future by understanding the fundamentals of clutches better.
